Two Series Strikeouts Send Renteria Into Record Book

Florida shortstop Edgar Renteria struck out twice in the sixth inning of Game 5 Thursday night, becoming the first player in World Series history to fan twice in the same inning.
Renteria, who struck out 108 times in 617 at-bats during the regular season, opened and closed Florida's four-run sixth inning with strikeouts. The first came against Orel Hershiser, the second against Eric Plunk.
